Hello,
My Grandmother, Hilda Hodgson was born of Christina Wishart (30 July 1848 in Great Britain and deceased 6 July 1911, possibly in Australia or New Caledonia. Her parents were James Wishart married to Jessie Philp... and that is all I have found. No dates, country names or anything else.
Does anyone know anything about this branch of the family please? Eager to trace my roots. Does anyone also know if we have a Jewish background?
