Thanks a lot for your message; I should most certainly include the info about your Charles Wishart Small in my family database as he married into the same family as mine. Your John Norval, son of Frederick Norval and Catharine Buttercase, would have been a brother to my Jane Norval, daughter of the same.
In my Buttercase line, I do indicate that John, Jane, and a third unnamed child were all children of Frederick and Catharine (Buttercase) Norval.
My records show that John Norval (b. Abt. 1839 in Kettle (Freuchie?), Fife, Scotland; d. 10 Oct 1907 in the Edinburgh Infirmary, Scotland) and that he married married Margaret Davidson on 20 Mar 1863 at 26 London Street in Edinburgh, Scotland). According to my current information, they had the following children:
1. Margaret Kerr Norval (b. 1863), m. [Mr.] Strachan
2. Catharine Buttercase Norval (b. 1867), m. Edwin Dineley
3. Mary Norval (b. 1869)
4. John Norval (b. 1871)
5. Ann Husband Norval (b. 1875)
Is your relative the Mary Noval, b. 1869? If so, I'd love to fill in your husband's information to this line so as to fill in some gaps. I would be happy to share my Buttercase information with you, as well, in the event that you may be missing any information pertaining to my line, etc.
I look forward to hearing from you but will be on vacation for 2 weeks so if you don't hear from me again before March 6, it's not because I'm ignoring you.
Thanks and take care,
Los Angeles, CA
