Looking for parents or siblings of my great-grandfather STEPHEN LEWIS WISER (b. March 16, 1843?,in New Jersey?; d. March 26, 1901 in Chapman,Merrick County, NE).

Stephen was living in Menard Co, Illinois as per 1860 Census with Alexander(age 26,Farmer)and Rebecca (22) MONTGOMERY. Here he gave his age as 28 and birthplace as PA. Which would make his birth year at 1831 or 2.

Service record shows that he enlisted at age 28 in Civil War on Feb. 4, 1865 at Springfield, Illinois for 1 year.Birth year would be 1837. He served as a Private in Company A, 152 Regiment of the Illinois US Infantry. In 1871,he left Petersburg, Illinois and went to Merrick County, Nebraska.

His marriage to Sarah A. Shipley on 12/23/1874,Central City, Merrick, NE. gave his age as 34, birth place as NY and parents as Jonathan Wiser and Mary England. This is an 1840 (or 1841) birth year.

His second marriage to Clara Bell Dye on 9 Nov 1887 Central City, Merrick, NE. Listed age as 36, born Senica Co., NY. Parents: Wm Wiser & Hannah Thomas. This makes birth year 1851.

Merrick, NE., 1900 census has Stephen L. Wiser, age 58, born Aug 1841 in New Jersey. Parents born New Jersey.

Have birth years as 1831, 1837, 1841, 1843, and 1851 and birth places as Senica Co., NY and New Jersey.

His wife Clara Bell (my ggrandmother) listed the March 16, 1843,in New Jersey on his death certificate, and used the parents listed on their marriage certificate.

Stephen and Sarah had no children.
Stephen and Clara B.had the following children:
Harrison WISER, b. 1888
Arthur WISER, b. 1890
Anna Mae WISER, b. 1892
Grant WISER, b. 1894
Raymond WISER, b.1897
Stephen L. WISER, Jr., b. 1900

Any family connections out there for STEPHEN LEWIS WISER?
I have hit the wall and any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I have most of the family line from Stephen L. on down if you are interested.
