I am wondering if there is a WISEHEART/SAMUELS (of Kentucky—specifically Nelson County) connection that anyone has documented (and/or if there is also a connection to a SAYERS family of Kentucky, again, specifically in Nelson County)
I have the CW military records for my 4th great grandfather, Alford/Alfred SAMUELS. In those papers is a Claim for Compensation by a Mary SAMUELS. She states that she inherited Alford [still can’t figure out from whom she would have inherited him]. Two men, John H. WISEHEART and Alexander SAYERS testified that they knew Mary and that she did indeed own Alford.
Have copies of pages from a book by Patricia Craven with will information. In it, a Wilson SAMUELS administered the estate of a Benjamin WISEHEART (Nelson County, Kentucky Will book 6/571, November Court, 1857—per the information I have from the book).
I would love to know if there was some familial connection between any of these folks, or if their interactions were products of proximity and neighborly help.
