Benjamin WISE b. ca 1828 NC

Benjamin Wise 21 (1829) and wife Caroline 23 (1827, both born NC, were counted in the 1850 Yancey Co., NC census with their daughters Martha J. 2 and Elender L. 6/12.

Benjamin was in the Shreveport, Caddo Par., LA census with wife Emily b. LA and the following children:
Martha 12, Mary & Margaret 9, P. H. (male) 7, John 5, and James 3.

I haven't found Benjamin in another census. Martha 21 b. NC was living with Margaret Whitlock 18 b. KY in the 1870 census. I believe these were the Wise sisters and daughters of Caroline.

I believe John is John Finnemore Wise b. Mar 1856 in LA. He listed his mother as born in TN, France, and NC in various census. I believe his mother must have been Caroline, and that she must have died in Shreveport. James could be the son of either Caroline or Emily.

There are trees at Ancestry naming Benjamin as a son of Josiah Wise and Margaret Davis. Is there any evidence to support this? Some say that Benjamin went to Texas and died there. I've found no evidence of that.
