Bruce....Sending this information without knowing "if" it is your great-grandmother Evaline or not, so will let you decide. Most of it sure seems to fit. Could her first name have been Neoma/Naomi/Naoma? Here is someone who has submitted info to Rootsweb's WorldConnect. The post is recent, so you should be able to e-mail the submitter. If you haven't used the site before, click on the highlighted names for additional information. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=knock&id=I352585 ---------------------------- These census records are from HeritageQuest, unless indicated otherwise. 1870 Center Point Post Office, Blue Rayou Township, Sevier County, Arkansas Census - Page 253 - Enumerated 20 July: Valentine Wise, 24, m, w, farmer, b. Sounds like he was named after his 2 grandfathers...Frederick Waymire and Valentine Wise? I can't find your great-grandmother with her husband Isaac Horace Waymire on the 1900 or 1920 census records. Frederick should have been with his parents on the 1900 census. Here are who appears to be the couple on the 1910 and 1930 census. If this is the right family, I guess Frederick has moved away from home by 1910? On the 1910 census "Naoma" says she has had 8 children with 6 still living. There are only 5 children listed on the census, so perhaps Frederick is the 6th? Do you Frederick's siblings' names to verify "if" this is the right family, or not? 1910 West Plains Township, Meade County, Kansas Census - ED 110, Page 221 - Enumerated 15 April: Horace Waymire, head, 38, married once/16 years, b.
