Wintons in UK

Hi, Since posting my earlier messages I have learned from a Carol Keeling that my great grandfather could well have been Walter F. Winton who lived in Brighton, Sussex, England. His occupation at aged 17 was a carver and gilders apprentice and he lived with his married sister Jane Harris. He married in late in 1884 and had nine sons, one of whom was John Henry Winton, also a gilder, and father of Sanley Valentine Winton, born 1913 in Brighton. Stanley Valentine Winton was my father, but I didn't know this until very much later in life; having been raised by my mother and stepfather, Alex Ward. Hopefully, this latest information may produce some more leads. Regards. Mike
