My name is Robert Wintle. I was born in Croydon, Surrey on 20.4.40. My family originated in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. My grandfather was William Stanley Wintle (1881-1871). He was an engine driver for the GWR. My family has been traced back to John Wintle of Llansamlet, Glamorgan (c1762-1837). Is there any tie in with your research?
