Hi Pat,

yes, we are certainly dancing around in the same families :)

One quick query. If Francis Nichols WINTERTON is the father of Lucy Nichols WINTERTON I would imagine Ann's parents would not be of the surname WINTERTON.

I can't find a Francis Nichols WINTERTON born at Terrington St John & will look in other locations for you soon.

In 1810 there was a marriage between Edward NICHOLSON & Ann DENMAN at Tilney All Saints. In 1767 there was a marriage between John NICHOLS & Mary HERRING at Walpole St Peter. I'm sure I've come across NICHOLs eleswhere & will keep looking. I think a link between the NICHOLS & WINTERTON names will help you onto the right track.

The David Ketteringham , wife Mary A & dau Sophia are mine! David & Mary Ann were my grandfather's grandparents. Mary Ann (nee PAPWORTH) actually outlived my grandfather's mother (Sophia) & Dad remembers both being spoken of fondly. David KETTERINGHAM's mother was Sarah WINTERTON.

Your John KETTERINGHAM & wife Ann had the following children (Lucy not included of course): Edward (1859 - 1877), Arthur (1868), Aaron (1870 - 1912) & Anna (1879). John KETTERINGHAM's parents were: John KETTERINGHAM & Margery CRISP.

Just some snippets!

Cheers,
Donna.
