My family also is from Sheffield. My lines reach back to late 1700's with a Robert Winterbottom (married to Sarah Yates in 1791). I have no siblings at this time for Robert, but do have all his children (7 children). I've run across Edwin a few times in Sheffield, but am not sure if he is related in any way. 3 generations down from Robert is a George Winterbottom (b: about 1871 in sheffield). Do not have any of his children at this time. Maybe there is a link somewhere.
