Hello Kathryn
I have got some more information on Orpeth's but it's not easy. I haven't found an Orpeth anywhere in the world at this time. Have you?
It's good to make contact with someone from the Orpeth family from Northumberland. I believe my ancestor George Winter was the son of Thomas Winter and Ann Orpeth. Ann Orpeth had siblings Wm. and Mary - maybe more. IGI records list Thomas Winter and Mary Orpeth having a son after Thomas had several children with Ann. Sound possible? This info from Bedlington Parish Records. Francis Orpeth was a taylor in Bedlington who died 3 Feb. 1810. After George and Ann Winter were in Canada they named a son Francis Orpeth Winter. I had a great uncle also named Francis Orpeth Winter who would have been the 4th generation in Canada so that name stuck.
Would be glad to share the information we have. You'll see our email address with this message. Feel free to contact us so we can talk about the Orpeth family.
Regards
Ron Winter
