I'm not really sure if I can help either one of you. However, a great deal of the Wints in my family live in Minnesota. That is where my grandparents were from before they moved to Washington state. My grandfathers' grandfather (this could get confusing, came from Germany. At that time the name was spelled differently. I am unclear if it was spelled Windt or Wendt. Maybe if you have dates or parents etc.....
