The only discrepency I see with this article is that when he joined the 41st Regiment they were already in Canada. They served in the West Indies from 1794 to 1796 then shipped back to England, recruited all over the British Isles to refill their ranks. They shipped to Canada in August 1799, where they remained until 1815. I am researching the 41st Regiment, particularly the men who served them. If I find any more information on Mr. Winslow I will forward it on. I did find the letter of recommendation for his posting "in any regular" British Regiment that was currently serving in the Canada. I would appreciate it if you have any more on him, to please pass it back!! Thanks.
