Mystery is not the WORD!
Martha Jane (CLEMMONS) WINSETT married ___WINSETT.
My mother-jn-law said her maternal grandfather took off and left his little family high and dry in Alabama. The lived in Morgan County, Limestone County also in Alabama. In the 1900 census of Athens, Limestone County, Alabama is listed Martha Jane WINSETT as the head of the household and her daughter Hattie and son Jesse.
NO ONE in the family ever heard a name for Mr. ______WINSETT.
There was a Joe, Lee, Jesse, Elizabeth and Hattie in their family. Lee R. WINSETT is listed in the 1930 Census of Cullman, Alabama.
