I have updated some of my G Grandfather's information as to why he left Kansas for Oklahoma. He participated in the land run of 1889 and settled in the Cleveland, Oklahoma area. I have not been to the Clevland cemetery nor have I contacted the funeral home there. My mother has also told me of six children not four as previously known. The oldest was possible named Angela. The other unknown before now died at the age of nine when she fell from the upper story window of the Cleveland School building. The son Charles is reported to have lived and worked in the Ponca City, Oklahoma area for Conoco. I have not made contact with any of his decendants. The son Lewis, my Grandfather, lived with his wife Pearl in the Pawhuska area. They are buried in the Pawhuska cemetery. The Johnson Funeral Home in Pawhuska did the services and I have solicited the death records of both. I have made contact with two of Pearl Lewis' line and one of the Lewis Winsell line. The twin daughters of Joseph Winsell being Leota and Leona are mentioned in Lewis Winsell's obituary of which I have a copy. This obituary also documents Joseph Winsell's participation in the land run. Please go to my website and examine my photographs and records providing feedback as to any new links or corrections. I welcome hearing from anyone especially relatives.
