In 1870 I do not know who Susan is but I don't think Elizabeth is dead at that point.I have a hand written copy of an affidavit filed in 1924 by Lucretia Smith. It details that GG Smith died in Dec. 1888 and EJ died in Aug 1893.They both died intestate which I suppose is the reason for the affidavit.
There were thirteen children listed:
(exactly as selled)
Will A. Smith
John N. Smith
David Smith
Lee Smith
Dard G Smith
D Boonie Smith
Eliza Smith
Mary Frances or MJ Smith
Jane Smith
MS or Mattie Smith
S Lucretia Smith
Elizabeth M Smith
A B Smith (who was probably Amanda)
That family in 1970 looks like it might be a some relatives.I know that there was a Susan Winniford who married Henry Banta but I do not know their children yet. The Tobias, James, and Henry were not children of Godfrey Smith.
PS: The afidavit also lists the husbands of the girls if you have any interest in that let me know.
