Dear Sharon:

I am trying to find out any information on my relative of the Winney lineage. My records indicate the following:

Amabel Toupin b. 12 Oct 1840 in Quebec, Canada married Margaret Mack (Winney or Winnery). Margaret was b. in 1844 in Michigan and died on 5 Apr 1880 at Sacred Heart, Oklahoma.

Amabel Toupin and Margaret Mack (Winney or Winnery) were married on 25 Sep 1859 at Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys, Kansas (Copy of Certificate of Marriage. For some reason, Margaret is listed as Margaret Mack on the certificate.

Amabel and Margaret Mack (Winney or Winnery) were the parents of Amanda Toupin (my great grandmother - my paternal grandmother's mother).

I do know that my Indian heritage of Pottawatomie Indian comes from my paternal grandmother's side. And that Pottawatomie's can be found in Michigan and Kansas.

Any leads?

Thanks,

Andrew Charles Fairchild
