Correction in my earlier mail I said Wesley's father was James - it was actually Thomas. Thomas married Matilda formerly Wells on 12th October 1861.

This is where I am not 100% sure - I have Thomas marriage cert and the father is James (Farmer) I believe Thomas was the son of James Whinnett and Eliza Hartwell. residence at time of marriage was Tottenhoe. There was another Thomas born in the same area with the same name but about a year older. I have found from other research that the dates can be confusing esp since there appears to be a 2 year gap in age on the marriage cert between Thomas and Matilda - he was 19 and she was 21. This is why I am guessing that our Thomas will be the younger of the two. He would have no reason to say he was younger and every reason to say he was older !! The other Thomas father was also James (farmer) so you can see where it gets confusing !! I would guess they were related living in the same area. You have resurrected my thirst for knowledge on this line and I will find out more. I do have the ancestory back from James & Eliza and will send this to you as far as I believe is correct.

Can you send me a mail going back from you with dates, your father Christopher, his father, etc so I can plug it into my genealogy package - I do have my grandmother Matilda having a brother Henry born 1888. Your original query confused me as you had 1864(?) as his birth date?

I have currently recorded Christopher from Henry (1888)then you - please correct if I have it wrong.

Jacqui
