Hi Amanda,
Jacob Wink, Esq is our earliest proven Wink name. He married Elizabeth Truax, believed to be a Delaware indian. This "fact" has filtered down through the generations, and is pretty well accepted as truth. I've not heard about a massacre.

There are Jacob's (more than one usually) in each generation, making us genealogists keep on our toes to keep them straight.
