Michigan Obit: Joseph LEDUC--Oct. 1920, age 85

Re MI Obit: Joseph LEDUC, brother to Julia (Lucy) VIAU/VEIO nee LEDUC/LADUKE. Julia Veio nee LEDUC is my great grandmother. If anyone reading this message is related to this LEDUC line, please contact me. I'd love to meet some new cousins and share information. Carol

Siblings: Joseph and Julia (aka Lucy) LEDUC/LADUKE
Parents: Joseph LEDUC and Marie Amaranthe Anne PROVOST, married 1825, Vaudreuil, QC.

Julia's brother, Joseph, died OCT 1920, MI. Julia died OCT 1921, OH. Joseph went directly to Cheboygan, MI from Canada and Julia went to Potsdam, New York from Canada. Then something made her move to Cheboygan, MI circa 187? -1880. I'm still looking for her husband, Andre~w VIAU/VEIO's death record in NY, MI, CAN and some where in between.

Julia's brother, Joseph LEDUC, (per obit) was married twice and both times to nee LEDUC women. See below.

Joseph LEDUC, and old resident of Inverness township died at his home at nine-thirty Sunday evening after an illness lasting for over two years of stomach and heart trouble.

Mr. LEDUC was born in Montreal, Canada eighty-five years ago. In 1865 he left Montreal coming at that time direct to Cheboygan and settling on his farm which has since been his home. A short time after coming here he was married to Miss Nellie LEDUC, after her death he was married to sister, Miss Emma LEDUC about forty-four years ago, who with the children survive him. Adolphus, Theodore, Joe, Arthur of Inverness township, Mrs. Anthony BROVEGE of this city, Mrs. Martha LANGHTON of Centralia, Washington, Mrs. William WINKLER of Detroit and Mrs. Roy HOFFMAN of Alberta, Canada, also a sister, Mrs. Julia VIEO of Port Huron.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at nine-thirty from St. Charles church, Rev. Fr. MAGNAN officiating, burial being made in Calvary cemetery.
