I am still looking for any info on the Winkelman/Winkleman family from Westmoreland Co., Pa. area.

My maternal grandmother was Mabel Melissa Winkleman. She married Joseph Wyant Winebrenner. They had Golden Bertha "Goldie", William "Bill", and Ida.

My grandmother had several siblings...Benjamin and Jacob are the only two brothers that I have heard mentioned, and her sisters were Hazel, Maude and Bertha. I remember visiting Aunt Bert, as she lived in an apartment in Johnstown, Pa.

Dad showed m a picture of Grandma, and told us that she used to take in laundry fro a few families in the town, and that she used to keep bees. I know that she died on Dec. 9, 1942, just weeks before Mom and Dad were married on Dec 24, 1942.

I know nothing of her parents or any of her ancesters. I was told that they came from Holland, but they may have come from Germany. Does anyone have any info on the Winkleman family from Westmoreland Co., Pa., or anywhere arround that area of Pa.?

Any info on the Winkleman family will be of great help to me.

Thanks to all who respond,

Nana Seiring.

P.S. I am also working on Winebrenner, Seiring, Cogley, VanHorn, and Rowe families, too.

My snail mail address is:
Nana Seiring, 918 Royal Ave., Lexington, Ky. 40505

Hope to hear from any and all of you who have any info on the Winkleman family.
