Would like to know Duke's son James J. is my line.

Duke Winfield and wife Ann W.
1850 Sussex Co VA age 52
1860 Dinwiddie Co VA age 62
1870 Dinwiddie Co VA age 72

I also know his name is listed as witness to births in Surry Co VA.

Issue so far from census records:
Epimonondas P. b. 1828 - also found in Dinwiddie
Virginia A. R. b. 1829 - also found in Dinwiddie
Mary E. b. 1832
James J. b. 1836 - also found in Dinwiddie
Robert D. b. 1839

I am looking for a James Winfield born about 1831 to 1840 who married Annie E. Titmash/Titmarsh about 1861 in Prince George Co VA. I only know of one child born 1862 and then I can find James no more. His wife remarries around 1870. I cannot find any info on his having served in the Civil War. I thought possibly that was why he died.

Any clues would be appreciated.
