Dickson, I am very much interested in you Family Bible. Would you happen to have a Sarah Wingfield who married George Herndon? I am searching for her parents. If the information that I have is correct, they would have married c1744 in Orange Cty. N.C. George Herndon died in 1796 (have will) Sarah died after 1802. I have the will of George and Sarah but there was not a last name mentioned for Sarah. James Herndon, their son, married a Mary M. Dickson in Orange Cty. N.C. 5-5-1814. (tie in to your name?) I have also seen the name Grimes and Taliferro quite often but I can't remember where! I am going to post a message on RW under Winfield....it pertains to the name Wingfield. I would appreciate hearing from you. Ann
