Can anyone here explain what is with the Wingfield Family Society? I've been having some disagreements with Lee Preston over the years about the Thomas Wingfield of York River business and recently the claims which he and Robert Carr have made about the DNA test results have really disturbed me. I wrote a message to the DNA-Genealogy list at RootsWeb responding to some of the claims Mr Preston had made there and copied it to Wingfield-l, thinking in my innocence that it was the proper place for a discussion of Wingfield genealogy.
Wow! You'd think I was a holocaust denier.... It was all out of proportion to the doubts I'd raised. And no-one will respond to any factual point I made... Finally one of the list members wrote "So, let us forgive Abigail for questioning, since she has the right to do so and let us
forgive Wes for becoming emotional, since he is so deeply into the subject and we have been so wronged before."
How the heck have they been wronged?
