My family and I have decided to travel to England to complete our family's "Heritage Tour", we are planning to travel down to Devon to see the area where the Wingets (Windeatt) and French Family lived. This trip will be sometime in May of 2008. I plan to video tape and take many photos as this is an opportunity of a lifetime to visit where our ancestors lived.
I would be appreciative if you could suggest certain villages and sites for us to visit on our heritage tour. I plan to travel to Dean Prior, Staverton, Torquay, widecomb-in-the-moor, buckfastleigh, Bovey Tracey and others.
I am on the William Windeatt line (Son of John Windeatt and Jane Hollet), the line that went to Canada. William married Mary Ann French.
