I have both Wingates and Flowers in my family (each in a different branch) but my ggg-grandmother was Dicey (Florence?) Flowers Deese Morgan and my gg-grandmother was possibly Florence Flowers. I have death certificate for my g-grandfather listin his mother as Florence Flowers, however we also know that he lived with his mother, who was also a Flowers and her name has been see listed at Dicey F.D. Morgan, we just assumed the F stood for Flowers, but could be Florence. They were all in Georgia around Sumter Co. I have a civil war military record for Dicey's son, Thomas Hilard Deese, but don't know the regiment off the top of my head (just started gathering documents for membership in UDC) My Wingate line is through William Henry Wingate of Worth Co., GA. He married both Joanna and Georgia Ivey(my gg-grandmother and Joanna's sister - yes, that is correct) They are all three buried together in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth Co.
Hope that is of some help!
