I have linked the Lott family, specifically Mark Lott and Ellis Lott, suspected cousins with suspected roots in Mark Lott who got a grant in 1773 on the Edisto River in Orangeburgh District, South Carolina and the Mark Lott who appears in the 1810 Lexington County, S.C. census, up with the Wings (Edward Wing; Mary Wing, widow - see Mary in Gwinnett County drawing in 1827 land lottery) and Boatwrights (James Boatwright) through census and deed records in Georgia, from Lincoln County, to Jones County, then to Gwinnett County, then to Coweta County. How sure are we that Mary Lowery was not instead Mary Lott? Was there an Edward Wing, Sr. as well as Jr.

Thank you for any and all information.

Pat Gresham
Descendant, George Lott, Patriot of Fairfield County, S.C.
