Maj Winfree Hanover VA, Revolution War

At a Revolutionary War land grant hearing on July 6, 1835 for Major Winfree of Hanover (he deceased after the war and before this hearing was held) an Anselem Bailey from Hanover, testified he and the Major were related, were both from Hanover and both enlisted together. Would anyone know how Anselem and the Major were related. The Major had at least two children John T. Winfree and another unnamed who it was said "moved to the western country and has not been heard from since". John T. married Fanny Burnett and had three children. He died in 1834. His three children were Harrison M., Kitty B. and Thomas J.
