Need help on this subject: My Mother was a Lane of Manorville NY Viola F. Lane b. 1900 Her Father was Eugene W. Lane b. 1862 ( on his grave marker) 1880 Census has him as being born 1863. I'll accept the 1863 Here's why his grave marker has his death date as 1943, thats incorrect. its abt 1935/1937, however none of this realy matters( for now) his spouse was Fanny Wilbur b.1864 up state NY my granfather was born in Manorville. Now his father was Andrew B. Lane Owned and operated A General Store and livery his chldren worked for him He could have been born in Manorville I don't know( Census states NY. and that his spouse was Martha J. she being born in 1843 NY Andrew b. 1836. I've been told by distant relatives That Martha J.is a Wines. This sounds logical Martha Jane Wines is a known name, cannot make a postive connection, also cannot go back any further on my GGrand father Andrew B. Lane, would appreciate any help.
