Hi Jack, I've waited sometime now for someone to reply to your message, looks like you have no takers. This same topic had bin brought up before, there were 19 messages in a row back to 10/99. I thougt for sure someone from this group would have made a reply to your message. Well here's my 2 cent's worth. I come from the Tuthill's of Southold one of the familys who came across the Long Island Sound and with Rev John Youngs founded Southold. Today I spell my name Tuttle arround 1829 my kin changed the spelling ( I'm not sure why but I know they my early kin went from Southold to Mattituck to Cutchogue, to Eastport ther they settled in with The Tuttles a different branch )thus the name change. We do have Wines married into our family, I've been told that we have Wines married int my mothers family also{ I'm still doing research on this} This would be "Lanes', Now here is my answer to your message. We have Charles Wines and his spouse Prudence Beacon of England. Now on to the Barnabas's: Barnabas b.1601 d.1679 mar. 1632 spouse Anna Eddy b.1603 d. 1678, Barnabas b. 1638/39 d. 1697 Marr. 1660 spouse Mary Benjamin b. 1638 d. 1727 ( MARY MAPES B.1649 MARRIED SAMUEL WINES b.1644 d.1728/29 MARRIED IN 1670, Samuel's second wife was Mary Cox. Samuel of 1644 was of course the brother of Barnabas of 1638. Now the next Barnabas b. 1670 d.1762 mar. 1697/98 his first wife Anna ???? b.1675/76/77 d. 1707 his second wife. Ester b. 1689 d.1759 married after 1708 it has been recorded in some cases as 1727. There are many more Barnabas Wines but no need to go into all that. I want to say here that I started out with Familysearch .org but there are so many contradictions and outright mistakes, I finally went to L.I. Genealogy .com and feel that this is the right account. Well lets see if the can is opened again. Like my States solgin on our license plates " You have a friend in Penn. " Ken Tuttle
