Hi, Diana,

I show:
John Wineinger, born Oct 1845, mar. 14 years, a blacksmith
Amanda, his wife, born June 1865, 3 children all living
Fannie, daughter, born Feb 1884
David, son, born July 1887
Charley, son, born ? 1890

This family is found in the 1900 census for GREENE County, Indiana, Richland Township, page 14B.

John was born in IN, his father in Virgina, mother Kentucky
Amanda and her parents were all born in Indiana

He could possibly be the son of Calvin S. Wineinger (I have him born in Hawkins County, Tennessee, but some refer also to Scott County, Virginia) and Frances Alexander. I have John T. born about 1846, married to Emily Allen. Children are Dora, Lewis, Mariah, David, Samuel and Albertus, all born before the 1880 census. Email me if you want me to send you a report. Or contact Randy Koerner...Calvin is his line and he may have more than I do.

Good luck!
