I have recently found another Winegar family that I believe might have been somehow related to the changing surname of Vineyard the locations and dates are starting to add up and it seems that initially the name was shortened to Wingard/Wingord/Winegar then on to Vineyard/Vinyard/Vingar/Vingard this family has been extremely hard to piece together because of the transcriptional name change when coming to america. Initially this family is thought to be German in background though they might have went to England before coming into the states and the name it seems started out as Weingart or Weingartner. Please contact me if you have seen any of these names in your research sleuthing. Thanks debrajo@cfl.rr.com Notify Administrator about this message?
