Winebrenner is an occupational name. It is actually a compound word Wine-brenner. The English translation is Wine-brewer or Wine-Maker. This doesn't mean that your ancestors all made wine. It just means that when your family was first identified by others this was the job they had. It's like people with the last name Hunter or Shoemaker. They were identified by their jobs.
