My father was born Bruce Frankland Windsor in Toronto in 1922. Shortly afterwards he was adopted out privately to a couple named McNichol. About 1934 a man showed up driving a big, black car with Virginia licence plates at their home in Toronto. He said "I've come for the boy." My father's suitcase was packed and he was on his way down the walkway to the man's car when he put the suitcase down and said "These people wanted me when nobody else wanted me. I'm not leaving." The man got back in his car and drove away, never to be seen again. My father continued to live under the name Bruce Frankland McNichol all his life, until he died in 1970, of ALS, in Los Angeles. I live in Lion's Head, Ontario, Canada. For the sake of my children and grandchildren I am interested in finding my Windsor relatives. I'd love to hear from them, or anyone with any information.
