Hi, Norman--Mrs. Smallwood's publication is in 3 volumes and was available at the Genealogical Services Branch of the NC State Library in Raleigh. I can't remember the title and don't have access to it today. The third volume contains the Windley family information. You should find it easily doing an author search--Marylou Smallwood. I think your chances of finding this book are better if you live in eastern NC, rather than the mountains. What Windleys are you working on?
I go back to the William who came to Hyde VERY early from Chowan. Nice to hear from a Windley researcher. Regards, Lu Koontz
