Thank you so much. Here's an odd thing. My mother always thought that her grandmother was part Indian. She is 84 and has never recanted the idea, but I don't know where it came from.
At one time, she mentioned Creole French thinking it meant Indian. However, from my studies of history, that is someone with French ancestory who was born in this country--as opposed to the elite group of monarchists who escaped the French Revolution and came here & looked down on the Creoles.
Well so much for the history lesson. Just wanted to let you know that the Indian connection may not be far off.
