Hi Charles. Just writing to clarify something. In the Wyncoll book it shaows that Sarah Baker, wife of John Austen, died in 1838 father Charles. She was 71 when she died meaning she was c.c. 1767. I cannot find a Charles to fit the bill nor a sarah father Charles.

I have found a Sarah b. 1765 parents Thomas Baker & Mary Harvey & according to The Bakers of Folkstone she married John Austen. Do you have anything that confirms Sarah's father being Charles.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Gary.
