The George Winburn you seek may be part of my Winburn line which migrated to Kentucky from Northampton Co., N.C. My 3rd ggrandfather, Lemuel, came to Madison County, KY from N.C. in the early 1800s and married Lucy Phelps from Ft. Boonesboro. Lucy's parents were part of the original settlers of the fort. Lemuel and Lucy had a large family and remained in that county for many years before moving to Henry County. Their son William, b. 1820, d. 1880, had a son, George Walker Winburn, born and died in Henry Co., 17 April 1852-23 Mar 1923. George married first, Mary A. Ragland of Trimble Co., 12 Jul 1883 (possibly divorced); second wife, "Mrs" Mary E. Prewitt, 7 Apr 1908 (divorced). I have no record of children in either marriage, although there is said to be at least one. Trimble Co., by the way, adjoins Henry and was home to certain Winburns after the Lemuel Winburn family moved here. My line descended from George Washington Winburn, a brother to William, both sons of Lemuel.
