Mary Weems, the wife of Monteville H. Winburn, was the daughter of James S. Weems and Caroline(ROCKWELL?).

James S. Weems was the son of Revolutionary Soldier John Weems who died in Smith County, Mississippi in 1840. James S. Weems died in 1856 in Greene County, Ms and is buried in McLeod cemetery. In 1850 James S. Weems is in the Smith County, Mississippi census. Caroline died abt 1864 in Clarke County, MS
