Hi Lori It is obvious that numbers and letters were of little interest to people reporting to the census takers in the early days. It may be they were reporting information they really didn’t know, and did the best they could, or the schools were very scarce. I am particularly interested in his wife. In the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 Census her name is different and so is the age on most of them. I believe it is a spelling and memory problem. I would truly like to know if this is the same woman, or if Abraham had several wives. His father was Abraham also and I’m really confused about this. Surely someone out there has seen this census information and understands it. Please help me with Abraham’s wife - It may be you know her maiden name and can solve the puzzle. Any information would be a help
