William Winborne b. 1700, d. 1761 Northhampton, NC m. Anne, they had a son Dempsey b. VA, d. York Co., SC 1809.

William Winborne, Jr. m. Sarah (Sally) Gatling. One of their sons was Dempsey Winborne, b. NC, d. 1816, m. P. Sharp. Another brother was Jesse Winborne m. Susannah Powell at Ft. Boonesbourgh, KY. Jesse Winborne/Winburn is my ggg grandfather.

In your reference to wills, look for the family name Winburn. A reference to check: Northhampton Co., NC, Deed Book 17, p.5
This indenture made this 6th of October 1809 between Jesse Winborn of Madison Co., KY on the one part and Dempsey Winborn of the other part of the county of Northampton and state of NC ... for consideration of two hundred dollars .... doths sell and bargained unto Dempsey Winborn his heirs ... parcel of land ... containing 50 acres ... being the parcel of land that was left by William Winborn to the said Jesse Winborn by will. Signed Jesse Winborn (seal)
The above will referenced in the land tranaction would be for William Winborne, Jr.
As you can see we have the family names Winborne, Winburn, Winborn.
