Looking for ancestors and descendents of Mary Wimsey, b. 1842, County Sligo and Anna Wimsey, b. December 1846, County Sligo, Ireland.
These sisters emigrated to Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois in the 1860s (various dates conflict). They were Catholics.

Mary married Michael Boyle (b. Ireland ca. 1832) on May 22, 1866 in Springfield. Between 1868 and 1882 they had nine children: John, Mary, Frank, Sarah, Jane, William, Joseph, Rose, and James. I have been unable to trace any of the children.

Anna was a servant in the home of Edward L. Baker in Springfield in 1870. She married Cormac/Cormick Cunningham (b. Ireland ca. 1842) on February 09, 1873 in Springfield. They had nine children: Isabella (died young), John Bernard, James, Anna Marie, Mary Alice, Charles J., Thomas C., Leo A. and William J.

There is some evidence that Cormac was born in County Donegal.

Anna Marie Cunningham was my father's mother. She married Jesse A. Neill May 08, 1906 in Springfield, IL.
