I'm sorry to hear of your daddy passing. I was fortunate to be able to sit with my grandmother and great-grandmother (not a wimpee, though) to get some history on their side. Not much to go on on the Wimpee side. All I'd heard was rumor. No facts yet. This stuff is SO interesting. Don't want to get personal - but I've traced back to Oglethorpe county, Georgia (early to mid 1800's and 1700's). Were you related to Henry Wimpee or John Wimpee Junior or Senior?

Thanks for writing & keep in touch!

Karen (Wimpee) Perkins
