My father left me the following data but several pieces are missing. I am working to sustantiate birth dates. I would also like to have any biographical and historical data. I once heard about a Wimberly Cemetery in Graves County Ky.

My father: Garland Shealds Wimberly b-1911 in Graves Co.

Grandfather: Len Wimberly b-1876 in Graves Co. married Rose Ann Melvin in 1897 in Galbret Ky.

G-Grandfather: Henry Wimberly (b-abt1846?)

GG-Grandfather: Levi Wimberly (b-1814?) Need to confirm if he is the 1814 Levi who married Cornelia Jane Alexander in 1842 and died in 1890.

GGG-Grandfather: John Wimberly (b-1771)My dad's handwritten data says that our John came from the hills of North Carolina to Trigg Co. Ky in 1832.

I have found references to a John (b-1871) that came to Trigg County from Bertie NC. around 1818. Could this be the same John or another one? The travel datas would have to be wrong. I am not sure about the "Came from the Hills of North Carolina" reference though. I though Bertie County was low flat land.

Any information that anyone has would be greatly appriciated.

Jerry Dean Wimberly (you can post here or if you have data sheets send them to my email at
to the same county sounds like they at Same Ky county though so, there must be some
