Do you know the name of Gene's gr-father? We have some connection to the Iowa Wiltse clan. Our line was not of the loyalist line. They stayed in New York state thru the revolution and migrated West later.
Elijah b.1827-d.1917 would have been the generation for his son to be Gene's Gr-father. Do the names Wells, Silas West, Harlow, or Edwin Wiltse have a connection to your line? If so I MAY be able to help you somewhat, as you know some of the Wiltses are very illusive.
