Mr. Wright,
The James S. Wilson that Paulette Haynes has diligently researched and provided numerous documents as evidence of was the son of John Wilson, who died about 1804 in Sumner County, TN.He was not the James Wilson, who was a son of Robert and Eleanor Wilson.
The only son of Robert and Eleanor Wilson for whom there is any record of ever living in Sumner County, TN was Robert Jr., who was there for a few short years in the late 1790's before purchasing property in Williamson County from David Wilson, at which time he moved into Williamson County. This information comes from the Affadavit given by the widow, Jane McDowell Wilson, in her pension application.
The final statement of your posting "it will drive a drinking man to become a drunk" if very telling. Now we know why your story is so screwy.
