David Wilson, Jr., son of Major David Wilson and Jane/Jean Sharp was NEVER MARRIED TO JENNY WEAR.The David Wilson, who married Jenny Wear in Greene Co., TN has no known connection to the David Wilson (d. 1803) or any of his immediate family.
You started your research in Mecklenburg Co., NC reading old stories and knew nothing about the extended lines of this family, which you have admitted in previous postings. You found the record of the Land Grant #3 given by the State of North Carolina to David Wilson. The wording of this grant states as follows: "2000 acres lying and being in our County of Green in the Middle District of the Western land lying on Caney Spring Creek on the north side of Duck River". You then made the erroneous assumption that Major David Wilson went to Greene Co., TN to claim this grant and that his son married there in Greene Co., TN.
Greene County, TN, even at it's largest size never extended into the "Middle District of the Western land".There is no record at all of Major David Wilson ever being in Greene Co., TN.He went from Mecklenburg Co., TN to that part of Tennessee that became Sumner County. The land mentioned in this Grant #3 is located in what is now Marshall County, TN.
Major David Wilson never lived on the land that was Grant #3.This 2000 acre grant was left in his will, 1/2 to his son, Zacheus, and 1/2 to his son, David, Jr.At the time, this property was in Bedford County, TN and there are several deeds in Bedford County where David Wilson, Jr. of Sumner Co., TN was selling portions of the land on Caney Spring Creek of the Duck River which had been willed to him by his father, David Wilson, dec'd (1803).
This is just another case of your lack of diligence in your research.Your first mistake was in your determination of who the Wilson brothers were in North Carolina, which you have sadly messed up.
By the way, you might want to go back and review your own message as you have totally contradicted yourself.
