Hi Paulette
I've noted your extensive information pertaining to the North Carolina WILSON families. I'd like to ask if you have by chance come across any information pertaining to the WILSON's who made the move to the Mississippi Territory/ later Madison County, Alabama in the early 1800's.
I am particularily interested in one Samuel D. WILSON who married in August 1820 to Dorcas Caroline Nesmith in Madison co., AL. He has been my brickwall for many years and I haven't been able to determine which WILSON line he comes from
He moved to Smith Co., TN circa 1824 and was documented there in the 1830 census. The 1840 census documents him with his family in Dekalb Co (District 1), TN in 1840 and
the 1850 census for Dekalb Co (District 1), TN documents that he would have been born circa 1800 in North Carolina. He has not been located after this census.
His family moved to Greene County, Arkansas circa 1854-57 where they remained and married. His daughter Rebecca became my great great grandmother.
Any information pertaining to his family line would be most appreciated. Thanks.
Carol
