my g-grandfather, james wesley wilson, was listed as willson in tippah county, miss on his marriage in 1868. i have seen it with that spelling anywhere else. my g-grandparents were in tippah/benton co, miss in 1870 near his brother, jacob r wilson, before moving to limestone co, ala in 1880 and back to hardeman county, tenn by 1890. his brother was in ark in 1850 and in hardeman county in 1880 but went to texas by 1900. one of j r's sons, christopher columbus wilson, remained in hardeman until his death, as did my ancesters.

i thought that there might be a connection with our families. i will contact you again if i come across anything that seems to match and hope you will also.
