Searching for more information on George Wilson, Sr. and wife Misaniah of Norfolk Co. VA and Anson Co. NC. Anson Co. NC Deed Book 4 pg 133: Feb 20, 1785 Mesaniah Wilson (Anson Co.) to my son David Wilson; for love & affection gave half of "my part" of estate of George Wilson deceased "his widow & relict"; property to be divided to David at division of George's estate. (signed) Mesaniah Wilson: witness John Auld & John Jarman: wit. oath Oct 1784. She served as Executrix of George's estate. A seventh son, David, is not named in George's will but on Feb 20 1785, before the estate lands were divided, the widow Mesaniah deed 1/2 of all her part in her husband's estate to her son David Wilson (DB 4 pg 217). (Note - by bkp - was David born after his father died?) CGS X111,2 George Wilson was living in Norfolk Co. Va. when his eldest son Robert was born. George was in Anson Co. NC by Nov 30 1773 when he bought 185 ac on McCoys Creek (DB K,351) In 1774, 1775 & 1780 he purchased more than 600 add'l acres on McCoys Creek and on Jones Creek. George wrote his will in April 1779 and died before Jan 2 1783 when his widow filed an inventory of his estate. The four minor sons, Samuel, Solomon, Andrew and John were given the home tract on southside of Pee Dee River now Richmond Co. NC. Robert Liles sold his part of a tract of land belonging to the estate of Andrew Wilson deceased whereon Samuel Wilson now lives. It being part of land formerly bequeathed by George Wilson deceased to his sons Samuel, Solomon, Andrew and John Wilson. Anson Co. NC DB pg 31. Andrew purchased 115 acres of land from his brother John Wilson Feb 15 1799 (Deed Book F & G page 32) Andrew died between the date of that deed and January 18, 1800 when three of his brothers, Robert of Richmond Co. NC, John of Bullock Co. GA, and Solomon of Anson Co. sold their interest in Andrew's estate to their brother Samuel. The seven sons were: (1) Samuel born ca 1736 VA. 1st Wife Sarah Hayward, 2nd wife Eizabeth Stitt. Recognized a a DAR Patriot for public service. (2) Robert born ca 1747 in Norfolk, VA wife Betsy Terry. Received Rev. War Pension #S-7924. (3) George, Jr. NFR (4) Solomon NFR (5) Andrew - Robert Liles sold his part of a tract of land belonging to the estate of Andrew Wilson deceased whereon Samuel Wilson now lives. It being part of land formerly bequeathed by George Wilson deceased to his sons Samuel, Solomon, Andrew and John Wilson. Anson Co. NC DB pg 31. Ga, Planter, conveyed to Andrew Wilson of Anson Co. NC 115 acres southwest side of Pee Dee River. Deed Book F & G pg 32. (7) David - A seventh son, David, is not named in the will, but on Feb 20 1785, before the estate lands were divided, the widow Mesaniah deeded 1/2 of all of her part in her husband's estate to her son David Wilson (Anson Co.
